Raptors Reach Contract Agreement With Terrence Ross

The Toronto Raptors have come to an agreement with Terrence Ross on a three year contract extension worth a reported $33-31.5 million USD.

The Raptors drafted Ross in the 2012 NBA Draft 8th overall and he has played for the team in all three of his NBA seasons. In his first three years he averaged 9.2PPG 2.6RPG 1.0APG while shooting a very good 37% from three.

Ross’ extension saves the Raptors from potentially losing his next summer via free agency and provides the Raptors with a backup wing who could potentially slide in for DeMar DeRozan should he bolt this offseason as a UFA. The young Raptors wing likely would have attracted many suitors who are sold on his upside and Masai Ujiri reserves the rights to Ross as a tradable asset or potential impact performer in the next three years.

Ross has come off the bench in all of the Raptors games this season after the team decided to have incoming free agent DeMarre Carroll assume the starting small-forward position.
