7 Huge NBA Games For Canadian Hoops Fans

Canada’s progress in basketball is becoming more and more exciting every day. Any Canadian basketball fan is more than happy to sit down and watch a regular Raptor game, see their fellow Canadians perform, or even better yet, watch Canadian players take on the Raptors. However, certain matchups should be extra exciting to watch for Canadian hoops followers. Here’s a list of the top seven NBA games that you should circle on your calendar this season.

  1. Utah Jazz vs Toronto Raptors (Utah: Nov. 18 – Toronto: Mar. 2)

Saskatoon, Canada native, Trey Lyles, was one of two Canadian players to be drafted by the Jazz during the previous NBA draft. The other, Olivier Hanlan, will be playing overseas this season, however. Toronto signed Pickering, Ontario native, Cory Joseph to a contract this summer, making the young Canadian point guard the second ever Canadian to put on the Toronto jersey. This matchup doesn’t have a whole lot to it other than the two Canadians, and will really only be something to watch for while being played in the ACC on March 2nd. Whenever a Canadian player is playing their first NBA game back in their home country, it will be special.
